Messe Frankfurt übernimmt Beijing Traders-Link Plus International Exhibition Co.

Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd., Greater China’s headquarters of the global leading trade fair organizer Messe Frankfurt GmbH, has acquired a major proportion of Beijing Traders-Link Plus International Exhibition Co. Ltd., organizer of the Automotive Maintenance & Repair Expo (AMR) in Beijing. The agreement of the acquisition was signed on Nov. 10 in Shanghai, creating a new joint venture company named Messe Frankfurt Traders-Link (Beijing) Co. Ltd., with Messe Frankfurt holding the majority interest. This acquisition is supported by industry associations such as the China Automotive Maintenance Equipment Industry Association (CAMEIA) and the China Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association (CAMRA), who are also co-organizers of AMR.

Messe Frankfurt operates in 178 countries and hosts exhibitions and conferences in around 50 locations, with a focus on the mobility and logistics sector. The acquisition of Beijing Traders-Link Plus International Exhibition Co. Ltd. will allow Messe Frankfurt to enhance its maintenance and repair sector within its mobility portfolio, as well as increase its market share in Asia. Stephan Buurma, a member of the board of management of Messe Frankfurt Group, emphasized the importance of strengthening the company’s presence in all sectors of the industry to serve the growing aftermarket sector in Asia, particularly in China.

With the acquisition, Beijing Traders-Link Plus International Exhibition Co. Ltd. projects an increase in the scale of the 2018 Automotive Maintenance & Repair Expo to 1,200 exhibitors and 60,000 visits. Co-organizers CAMEIA and CAMRA expressed optimism in the move, highlighting the benefits for international key players to enter the evolving repair and maintenance sector in China. The AMR show covers various aspects of the auto maintenance and repair sector, attracting trade visitors and industry counterparts to explore business opportunities.

The Automotive Maintenance & Repair Expo 2018 (AMR 2018) will take place from April 1-4 at the New China International Exhibition Centre (NCIEC). For more information about the expo or Messe Frankfurt’s automotive fairs, visit automotive.messefrankfurt.com.
