In both incidents, a similar description of the robber was given to police, the sheriff’s office said. Through the use of License Plate Reader cameras, police were able to determine a suspect vehicle, the sheriff’s office said. Detectives with the Will County Sheriff’s Office also obtained security footage from the Speedway gas station, which showed the offender had a distinguishable tattoo on his left hand. Detectives presented a six-person photo line-up to the gas station employee, who identified Alexander Garcia as the man who robbed him at gunpoint, the sheriff’s office said. Garcia had a tattoo on his left hand. On Nov. 12, a no-bond arrest warrant was issued for Garcia, for armed robbery and aggravated robbery.Deputies with the sheriff’s office, who are also members of the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional task force, took Garcia into custody on Monday, without incident, the sheriff’s office said. Detectives were able to see the Garcia’s left hand, which matched that of the image in the surveillance video.
